An Overview Of Our Hosting Plan Features

No Domain Name Transfer Required

You do not need to transfer your domain name to use our servers. All you will need to do is change the DNS servers listed for your domain to point to our service.

All the Hard Disk Space You Need

As we pointed out on the plans page, disk space is nothing more than a bunch of hype designed to make you think you're really getting something for your money. We don't play that game. We give you the space you need for your web site. Unless you're starting up a video sharing site or hosting high resolution photo galleries, most websites are measured in kilobytes and megabytes. Very rarely do websites reach into the gigabyte realm.

You can rest assured that disk space will not ever be something with which to be concerned.

Email Addresses and Aliases

Once your account is set up, you're in control. Through the SmarterEmail web interface, you will be able to set up your email accounts as well as control the features of your domain's email.

Sub-Domains

Depending on the service plan you choose, you will have the option to add sub-domains to your top level domain (TLD). For example, you may have the TLD of www.acme.com with a sub-domain of forums.acme.com for an online forum. Or maybe photos.acme.com through which you could use our custom photo gallery interface to put up an online photo gallery.

FTP Access

You will be given FTP access to your site through which you will be able to copy files back and forth as needed to maintain your website.

ASP, ASP.NET v1.1

All of our plans include support for classic ASP. Our entry level plan also includes support for ASP.NET v1.1. If you have a 2.0 application, you'll need to start off with our midrange plan.

ASP, ASP.NET v2.0

All of our plans include support for classic ASP. Starting with the midrange plan, you'll have access to ASP.NET v2.0.

PHP

Our servers have PHP installed for those that prefer the PHP programming language.

No Setup Fee

We never charge you a fee to set up your website. We are committed to long term customer support and setup fees are ususally charged by those services that are more interested in high turn over instead of long term customer satisfaction.

MS Access Support

All of our plans offer support for Microsoft Access Databases. Once your account is set up and you've put the database in your site, submit a support ticket and we'll configure the permissions for you.

Full Customer Service

If you need support, we're here for you. We have a robust online support system through which you can contact us for any need that may arise.

Pay As You Go

There are no long term contracts and no hassles. You have the option of being charged quarterly for your domain hosting or you can save some cash and opt for our semi-annual or annual billing.

MYSQL Databases

We offer full MySQL v5 database support. Once your account is created, you will be able to use phpmyadmin to configure and manage your databases and data. There is full ODBC support for MySQL as well.

phpmyadmin

phpMyAdmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. Currently it can create and drop databases, create/drop/alter tables, delete/edit/add fields, execute any SQL statement, manage keys on fields, manage privileges,export data into various formats.

ISAPI_Rewrite

ISAPI_Rewrite is a powerful URL manipulation engine based on regular expressions. It acts mostly like Apache's mod_Rewrite, but is designed specifically for Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS). ISAPI_Rewrite is an ISAPI filter written in pure C/C++ so it is extremely fast. ISAPI_Rewrite gives you the freedom to go beyond the standard URL schemes and develop your own scheme.

Dundas ASPUpload Control

The Dundas Upload Control 2.0 is an ASP COM component which enables users to save and manipulate files uploaded via an html form. Files are uploaded to a server with file input boxes (e.g. <input type="file">) inside a form with the form's encoding (specified by theEncType attribute) set to "Multipart/Form-Data"

Picture Previewer

Picture Previewer is ActiveX component intended for pictures manipulating there are such operation as stretching, rotating, cropping, saving to ASP document stream and to Jpeg or BMP file.

It can be used with a lot of file formats: GIF, JPEG, PNG, PCD, TGA, TIFF, PCX, Windows BMP. "Save to ASP document stream" feature makes this component very useful - now you may skip creation of numerous thumbnails, which you can now form on fly!

Custom Photo Gallery

We've created our very own custom photo gallery application which allows you the ability to create an unlimited number of photo albums and upload an unlimited number of photos. The images are resized on the fly and stored in a MySQL database.

Through the use of CSS, you can control the look and feel of the application so it can be easily integrated into your site's design.

SmarterEmail

We use SmarterEmail from SmarterTools.com. This is an incredibly robust email server and web based email program. You are in complete control. You have the power to add, delete and modify all of your email accounts, email aliases, forwarding, autoresponders and much more.

SmarterEmail also includes a robust help feature to guide you through the various configuration options you have available.

Optional SSL Certificate Support

With our Business Level hosting plan, you may purchase an SSL certificate for your site. We recommend the Comodo Instant SSL certificate. If you are going to be offering any kind of e-commerce on yoru site, you need to protect your transactions with SSL.
